    I tried to stain this one to bring out the simple pattern. Basswood does not seem to take a stain very well.

    Wood Chip Carving

    I took a two day weekend class by Wayne Barton. His carvings are amazing and i very much enjoyed the class. Sadly, I have not kept in practice. However, I did find a great place online to buy basswood for carving. Their basswood is very affordable.
